The Studio

Varini Studio is a Madrid-based interior design studio creating spaces that are calm, considered, and entirely finished. Working with residential and commercial clients locally and internationally, the studio specialises in full interior design projects and turnkey residential commissions — taking each space from first concept to final detail.

The studio's work is recognised for its layered use of colour, precise proportions, and thoughtful curation of materials, objects, and art. Spaces are built to be lived in; tables for long evening conversations, rooms that improve with time and use.

Varini Studio takes on a carefully selected number of projects each year, ensuring each one receives the full attention it deserves. The studio works in Italian, Spanish, and English.

The Aesthetic

The studio's work is recognisable for its balanced use of colour, clean lines, and imaginative detail. Every space begins with a considered structural base — proportion, light, and quiet order — and is built up in layers: colour that anchors rather than overwhelms, materials chosen as much for how they feel as how they read in a room, art and objects brought into conversation across periods and origins.

New pieces sit alongside antique finds. Considered neutrals give way to moments of chromatic warmth. The aesthetic draws from the cultures that shaped the studio — Italian rigour and love of craft, Latin American warmth and chromatic richness, Spanish light and "joie de vivre".

The Founder

Veronica Varini has lived and worked across Italy, Colombia, Spain, and the United States — long enough in each to understand the cultural language of a place. Its aesthetic expectations. The standard a client carries without ever having to articulate it.

She trained as a designer at IED Barcelona and later studied business strategy at IE Business School and Harvard Business School. The combination is deliberate and rare: a designer who understands execution, a strategist who leads with taste. Beautiful spaces are not accidental. They require someone who can hold both.

Veronica leads every project personally — from first brief to final walkthrough.

Every Varini Studio projects are led by Veronica from start to finish. She brings together trusted architects, contractors, and suppliers — all coordinated under a single direction, so the client has one conversation, not ten.

The studio takes on a handful of projects each year. For us — it is the only way to do this properly.
