1. Scope and Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all purchases of
products and services made through www.varinistudio.com, operated by
Inversiones Varosta S.L. (“Varini Studio”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By placing an order or booking a service through this website,
you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full.
If you do not accept these Terms, you must not place an order.
These Terms apply to purchases by end consumers (private
individuals). Separate written conditions apply to trade, wholesale, and
business-to-business transactions where expressly agreed.
These Terms must be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which
governs how we process your personal data in connection with your order and use
of this website.
2. Products
2.1 Product Categories
Products in the Varini Studio shop are offered in two
categories, clearly indicated on each product page:

Ready-to-Ship: items held in stock, dispatched within
1–3 business days of order confirmation.
–
Made-to-Order (MTO): items produced specifically for
your order by artisan workshops. Lead times are stated on each product page and
typically range from 4 to 8 weeks from order confirmation. Production begins
upon receipt of confirmed payment.
Special and bulk orders (including trade and project orders)
are always made-to-order unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.2 Product Descriptions, Dimensions, and Colours
Varini Studio takes reasonable care to ensure that product
descriptions, dimensions, photographs, finishes, and pricing are accurate at
the time of publication. However:

Colours and finishes displayed on screen may vary
depending on your device, monitor calibration, and screen settings. Screen
representations are not guaranteed to be colour-accurate.
–
Stated dimensions are approximate. Minor variations may
occur in handmade and artisan products.
–
Minor variations in colour, texture, finish, or
dimensions that do not affect the essential characteristics or intended use of
the product are not considered defects.
Customers are responsible for reviewing all product
specifications, dimensions, and finish details carefully before placing an
order. If clarification is needed prior to purchase, please contact us at
info@varinistudio.com.
2.3 The Artisan Nature of Our Products
Every product in the Varini Studio collection is handmade or
handcrafted by artisans using traditional techniques and natural materials. As
a result, slight variations in colour, texture, surface finish, glaze, grain,
patina, and dimensions are inherent to each piece and are not considered
defects. These natural characteristics — a variation in glaze, a mark from a
tool, an irregularity in grain, a subtle difference between pieces — are what
distinguish a genuinely handcrafted object from an industrially produced one.
They are part of the character, integrity, and value of the work. By placing an
order, you acknowledge and accept this inherent nature of artisan-made
products.
2.4 Partner Brand Products
Some products are offered in partnership with third-party
brands, including products fulfilled directly by partner suppliers (dropshipped
items). In these cases:

Return, exchange, and refund conditions may differ from
Varini Studio’s standard policy and are governed by the applicable partner
brand’s terms.
–
Partner brand conditions are communicated clearly at
product level on the individual product page. Customers are responsible for
reviewing these conditions before placing an order.
–
Where partner brand terms are more restrictive than our
standard policy (for example, final sale or non-returnable items), those terms
are binding and take precedence.
–
Varini Studio does not process returns for, nor accepts
return of, partner brand products on behalf of the partner. Any return must be
arranged directly in accordance with the conditions stated on the product page.
2.5 Availability
All products are subject to availability. Product listings on
the website are an invitation to order, not an offer to sell. A binding
contract is formed only when Varini Studio confirms and accepts your order by
email.
If an item becomes unavailable after an order is placed,
Varini Studio will notify you as soon as possible and refund any amount paid
for the unavailable item within 14 days.
Varini Studio reserves the right to decline or cancel any
order due to pricing errors, stock unavailability, suspected fraud, payment
issues, or misuse of the website.
3. Services
Varini Studio offers two professional design services, each
governed by separate terms:

The Expert Call: a private 55-minute video design
consultation, governed by Section 9 of these Terms.
–
Turnkey Design: a full end-to-end interior design and
project management service for international clients in Madrid. Governed by a
separate bespoke service agreement signed individually with each client. These
Terms do not apply to Turnkey Design projects.
4. Prices, VAT, and Payment
All prices are displayed in euros (€). Where applicable under
Spanish and EU law, prices include VAT at the legally applicable rate. Shipping
costs, customs duties, and import taxes are not included unless expressly
stated at checkout.
Varini Studio reserves the right to amend prices at any time.
The price charged will always be the price displayed at the time the order is
placed and confirmed.
Payment is required in full at checkout. Orders are not
processed or dispatched until payment has been successfully authorised.
For made-to-order items, full payment is charged at the time
of order confirmation and constitutes a prepayment for the production of your
piece. Once production has commenced, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded
except as required by mandatory law.
5. Orders
Once you place an order, you will receive an order
acknowledgement email. This email confirms receipt of your order but does not
constitute acceptance. A binding contract is formed when Varini Studio sends a
separate order confirmation email accepting your order.
Ownership of the goods passes to the customer once full
payment has been received and confirmed by Varini Studio. Risk in the goods
passes to the customer upon delivery to the shipping address provided.
Varini Studio reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order
where reasonably necessary, including in cases of pricing error, suspected
fraud, stock unavailability, payment issues, or misuse of the website. In such
cases, any payment received will be refunded in full within 14 days.
6. Shipping, Delivery, and Customs
6.1 Dispatch
All orders are dispatched from Madrid, Spain, on business days
(Monday to Friday, excluding Spanish public holidays).
–
Ready-to-Ship items: dispatched within 1–3 business
days of order confirmation.
–
Made-to-Order items: dispatched following completion of
production. Lead times of 4–8 weeks from order confirmation, as stated on each
product page.
During launches, holiday periods, or high-demand periods,
dispatch may take slightly longer. If an item is delayed or affected by an
unexpected issue, we will contact you as soon as possible.
6.2 Estimated Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times from the date of dispatch:
–
Zone 1 – European Union: approximately 2–3 business
days
–
Zone 2 – European Union: approximately 2–4 business
days
–
United Kingdom: approximately 3–5 business days
–
United States, Canada and selected destinations:
approximately 3–5 business days
–
Rest of World: approximately 4–8 business days
Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Varini Studio accepts no liability for delays caused by customs clearance,
carrier disruption, adverse weather, payment verification, public holidays, or
events beyond our reasonable control.
6.3 Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on
destination, weight, size, and volume of the order. Final shipping costs are
shown and confirmed before payment is taken. Shipping costs are paid in full by
the customer at checkout.
Starting rates:

Zone 1 – EU: from €10

Zone 2 – EU: from €15

United Kingdom: from €30
–
United States, Canada and selected destinations: from
€25
–
Rest of World: from €35
Original outbound shipping costs are non-refundable, except
where required by mandatory consumer law (see Section 7).
6.4 Carriers
We ship primarily with UPS and FedEx. Varini Studio reserves
the right to select the most appropriate carrier for each shipment based on
destination, parcel size, service availability, and operational requirements.
Once dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking
information where available.
6.5 Delivery Address
Customers are solely responsible for ensuring that the
shipping address provided at checkout is complete, accurate, and up to date.
Varini Studio cannot be held responsible for non-delivery, delay, or additional
charges resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the
customer.
If you notice an error in your delivery address, contact us
immediately at info@varinistudio.com. We cannot guarantee amendments once an
order has entered processing or dispatch.
6.6 Customs Duties, Import Taxes, and International Charges
For orders delivered outside the European Union, import
duties, customs charges, local handling fees, VAT, and any applicable taxes may
be levied by the destination country’s authorities upon import. These charges
are determined by local law and are entirely outside Varini Studio’s control.
ALL customs duties, import taxes, local charges, and clearance
costs are the sole responsibility of the customer. Varini Studio does not
collect, estimate, pre-pay, or refund these charges under any circumstances.
If a shipment is refused by the customer or returned due to
non-payment of customs charges, any resulting return shipping costs, customs
fees, handling charges, storage costs, or administrative costs incurred by
Varini Studio will be deducted from any refund, to the extent permitted by
applicable law.
By placing an order for international delivery, the customer
expressly acknowledges and accepts full responsibility for all customs duties,
import taxes, and related charges applicable in their country.
6.7 Inspection on Delivery
Upon delivery, customers must inspect the parcel and its
contents as soon as reasonably possible. If the outer parcel arrives visibly
damaged, note this with the carrier at the time of delivery where possible, and
photograph both the outer parcel and contents immediately.
All claims for damaged, faulty, or incorrectly supplied items
must be submitted within 14 calendar days of delivery. See Section 8 for the
full procedure.
7. Returns and Right of Withdrawal
7.1 Made-to-Order Items — No Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Article 16(c) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU on
consumer rights, as implemented in Spanish law under Real Decreto Legislativo
1/2007 (TRLGDCU), the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to goods
that are made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised.
The following categories are expressly excluded from the right
of withdrawal and are non-returnable and non-refundable, unless faulty or
incorrectly supplied (see Section 8):

All made-to-order (MTO) products — any item produced
specifically upon receipt of your order
–
Custom-finish, custom-size, or personalised pieces
–
Special and bulk orders
–
Trade and project orders
–
Sale or clearance items
–
Items described and sold as “second-hand”, “B-grade”,
or with disclosed defects
Each product page clearly indicates whether a product is
made-to-order. By placing an order for a made-to-order item, you confirm that
you have read and understood that no right of withdrawal applies to your
purchase. If you are uncertain before purchasing, contact us at
info@varinistudio.com.
7.2 Ready-to-Ship Items — Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
For ready-to-ship stock items, EU consumers have the statutory
right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 calendar days from the date of
receipt of the goods, without the need to provide a reason, in accordance with
EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Spanish consumer law.
This right is strictly subject to the conditions set out in
Sections 7.3 and 7.4 below.
7.3 How to Initiate a Return
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify Varini
Studio in writing before the 14-calendar-day withdrawal period expires by
emailing info@varinistudio.com. Your notification must include:

Your full name and order number
–
A clear written statement of your decision to withdraw
from the purchase
–
A minimum of 3 clear photographs of the item(s) and
packaging in their current condition, showing: the full item from multiple
angles, the original packaging intact and unopened, and all original labels,
protective stickers, and accessories present
Notifications submitted without the required information and
photographs will not be accepted as valid withdrawal requests.
Once your withdrawal request has been reviewed and accepted by
Varini Studio, you will receive written confirmation and return instructions by
email. Do not return items before receiving written confirmation from us.
7.4 Return Conditions — Mandatory Requirements
Returned items must meet ALL of the following conditions
without exception. Failure to meet any condition entitles Varini Studio to
refuse the return or apply a partial refund reflecting the diminished value of
the item:
–
Completely unused and in perfect, resaleable condition
— not installed, not fitted, not tested beyond what is necessary to assess the
nature and functioning of the product
–
In the original, undamaged product packaging — the
original box must be intact, unmarked, uncrushed, and in fully resaleable
condition
–
All original protective packaging, stickers, labels,
inserts, and accessories must be present and intact
–
For lighting items: plugs, fittings, and cables must be
wrapped separately to protect the base and prevent damage during return transit
–
For hardware items: any item showing marks, scratches,
or wear consistent with installation or fitting will not be accepted
–
Sent within 14 calendar days of the date on which
written confirmation of return acceptance was issued by Varini Studio
–
Sent using a tracked and fully insured shipping service
at the customer’s expense
The product remains the customer’s responsibility and at the
customer’s risk until it has been physically received and inspected by Varini
Studio at our premises.
Varini Studio reserves the right to refuse a return or apply a
partial refund if the returned item does not meet the above conditions,
including but not limited to: any sign of use, installation, or handling beyond
assessment; damaged, marked, or missing original packaging; missing labels,
stickers, or accessories.
7.5 Return Shipping Costs
Unless the item is faulty, damaged in transit, or incorrectly
supplied by Varini Studio, all return shipping costs are the sole
responsibility of the customer. Original outbound shipping costs are
non-refundable.
Varini Studio strongly recommends using a tracked and insured
return service. We cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged during
return transit.
7.6 Refunds
Once the returned item has been received, inspected, and
approved by Varini Studio, a refund will be issued to the original payment
method within 14 calendar days of receipt of the return, in accordance with EU
consumer law.
Varini Studio may withhold the refund until the goods have
been physically received and inspected, or until satisfactory proof of return
shipment has been provided by the customer, whichever occurs first.
Refunds are issued for the product price only. Return shipping
costs paid by the customer are not refunded unless the return is due to a
verified fault, confirmed transit damage, or a fulfilment error by Varini
Studio.
7.7 No Exchanges
Varini Studio does not offer product exchanges. If you wish to
order the same or a different product in a different colour, finish, or size,
the original item must be returned in accordance with this Section and a new
order placed separately.
8. Faulty, Damaged in Transit, and Incorrectly Supplied Items
8.1 What Constitutes a Fault
A product is considered faulty only if it:
–
Arrives with structural damage that renders it unable
to function or perform its intended purpose
–
Is defective in manufacture in a manner that goes
materially beyond natural artisan variation
–
Materially differs from its product description in a
way that affects its essential characteristics and intended use
The following are expressly NOT considered faults and do not
qualify for return, refund, or replacement:
–
Natural variations in colour, texture, glaze, grain,
surface finish, patina, or dimensions inherent to handmade and artisan-crafted
products
–
Minor surface marks, tool marks, or slight
irregularities resulting from the handcrafting process
–
Colour, finish, or texture differences between screen
display and the physical product
–
Variations between individual pieces within the same
product line, as each is hand-produced
–
Hardware or lighting items that have been installed,
fitted, or show marks consistent with installation or attempted installation
–
Damage caused by improper installation, misuse,
unsuitable surfaces, incorrect fitting, or third-party handling after delivery
–
Wear or deterioration resulting from use after delivery
8.2 What Constitutes an Incorrectly Supplied Item
An incorrectly supplied item is one where Varini Studio has
dispatched a product materially different from what was confirmed in your order
(different product reference, finish code, or size from the confirmed order
confirmation email).
The following are expressly NOT considered incorrectly
supplied items:

Minor colour or finish variations between product
photography and the physical item, given the artisan nature of the products and
inherent limitations of screen colour reproduction
–
Variations within the natural range of the product as
described
8.3 Varini Studio’s Obligations for Confirmed Faults and Errors
Where a genuine manufacturing fault, confirmed transit damage,
or fulfilment error is verified by Varini Studio following review of the
documentation submitted:
–
Varini Studio will provide a pre-paid return shipping
label and cover all return shipping costs
–
Varini Studio will, at its reasonable discretion, offer
a repair, a replacement (subject to availability), or a full refund including
original outbound shipping costs
Varini Studio will not be liable for faults, damage, or
non-conformity arising after delivery due to misuse, improper installation,
unsuitable surfaces, incorrect fitting, or third-party handling.
8.4 How to Submit a Claim
All claims for faulty, damaged in transit, or incorrectly
supplied items must be submitted within 14 calendar days of delivery. Claims
submitted after this period will not be accepted, except where required by
mandatory consumer law.
To submit a claim, email info@varinistudio.com with ALL of the
following:
–
Your full name and order number
–
A clear written description of the issue, specifying
whether you believe the item is faulty, damaged in transit, or incorrectly
supplied
–
A minimum of 5 clear photographs documenting the issue,
including: close-up of the specific defect or damage from multiple angles, the
full item, the outer packaging showing any transit damage, the inner packaging,
and the shipping label
Claims submitted without complete documentation will not be
processed. Varini Studio will review the claim and provide a written response
within 5 business days of receiving complete documentation.
The determination of whether an item is faulty, damaged in
transit, or incorrectly supplied is made at Varini Studio’s reasonable
discretion based on the documentation provided and, where necessary, inspection
of the returned item.
8.5 Legal Guarantee
Consumers benefit from the statutory legal guarantees under
Spanish law (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007, TRLGDCU) and EU consumer law.
Where a product is not in conformity with the contract, you may be entitled —
subject to applicable conditions and timeframes — to repair, replacement, price
reduction, or contract termination. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes
any mandatory statutory rights you are entitled to under applicable law.
9. The Expert Call — Service Terms
9.1 Description
The Expert Call is a private 55-minute live video design
consultation with Veronica Varini, Varini Studio’s founder and lead designer,
conducted via Google Meet. Available globally. Price: €450 per session.
The Expert Call is a professional advisory service. It does
not include and does not produce design deliverables, technical drawings, mood
boards, project plans, material specifications, supplier lists, or any tangible
or digital output. The session itself constitutes the full service. Notes and
recommendations shared during the session are for the client’s own personal
reference.
9.2 Booking and Confirmation
Bookings are made and paid for online through the Varini
Studio website. A booking is confirmed upon receipt of full payment and a
confirmation email from Varini Studio. The confirmed booking constitutes a
service contract between the client and Varini Studio.
Clients will receive a short preparation form prior to the
session. Completion of this form allows Veronica to prepare effectively for
your specific project and maximise the value of the session.
9.3 Right of Withdrawal — Services
Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers have a 14-day right
of withdrawal from service contracts. However, in accordance with Article 16(a)
of the same Directive, the right of withdrawal is forfeited once a service has
been fully performed, where the consumer has expressly requested performance to
begin within the withdrawal period and acknowledged that the right of
withdrawal will be lost upon full performance.
By completing a booking and paying for The Expert Call, you
expressly request that the service be performed at the confirmed session date
and time, and you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal will be forfeited
upon completion of the session.
If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal before the
session takes place, you must notify us at info@varinistudio.com before the
session begins. See Section 9.4 for cancellation conditions.
9.4 Cancellation and Rescheduling
–
Cancellation 48 hours or more before the confirmed
session start time: full refund of the session fee, issued within 14 days.
–
Cancellation less than 48 hours before the confirmed
session start time: no refund. The full session fee is forfeited.
–
No-show (client does not join at the confirmed session
time without prior cancellation): no refund. The full session fee is forfeited.
–
Rescheduling: one reschedule per booking is permitted,
subject to a minimum of 48 hours’ notice before the confirmed session time.
Rescheduling requests received with less than 48 hours’ notice are treated as a
cancellation under the above conditions.
To cancel or reschedule, email info@varinistudio.com with your
booking reference and full name.
9.5 Cancellation by Varini Studio
In the event that Varini Studio must cancel a confirmed
session, the client will be notified as soon as reasonably possible and offered
either a full refund of the session fee or the option to reschedule at no
additional charge. Varini Studio is not liable for any further compensation in
such circumstances.
9.6 Nature of Advice and Limitation of Liability
The Expert Call is an advisory consultation based on
information provided by the client during the session. All recommendations are
professional opinions and are provided in good faith. Varini Studio does not
guarantee specific outcomes, the suitability of recommendations for particular
properties or contexts, the availability of specific products or suppliers
referenced during the session, or results achieved by the client following the
consultation.
The client is solely responsible for all decisions made on the
basis of advice received during the session. Varini Studio’s liability in
connection with The Expert Call is limited to the session fee paid.
10. Website Use and Intellectual Property
10.1 Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse this website, attempt to interfere
with its security or operation, access it using automated means without our
consent, or use it for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose. Varini
Studio reserves the right to suspend access, cancel orders, or take appropriate
action where misuse is suspected.
10.2 Intellectual Property
All content on www.varinistudio.com — including text, product
names, descriptions, photographs, graphics, logos, layouts, and designs — is
owned by or licensed to Inversiones Varosta S.L. and is protected by applicable
intellectual property and copyright laws. No content may be copied, reproduced,
distributed, modified, or used for commercial purposes without prior written
consent from Varini Studio.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance
with our Privacy Policy, available at
www.varinistudio.com/policies/privacy-policy, and in compliance with EU
Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Spanish data protection law.
By using this website and placing an order, you acknowledge
that your personal data may be processed for the purposes of order fulfilment,
payment processing, customer service, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and
related operational purposes, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.
12. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such
exclusion is not permitted by mandatory law, including liability for death or
personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent
misrepresentation.
Subject to the above, Varini Studio shall not be liable for:

Indirect, consequential, or incidental losses of any
kind
–
Loss of profit, business, revenue, or opportunity
–
Damage arising from misuse, improper installation,
unsuitable surface selection, incorrect fitting, or third-party handling after
delivery
–
Delays or non-performance caused by events outside our
reasonable control
–
Colour, finish, or dimension discrepancies between
screen display and physical product
–
Decisions made by a client based on advice received
during The Expert Call
–
Loss or damage to items during return transit where the
customer has used their own shipping method
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the value
of the order giving rise to the claim.
13. Force Majeure
Varini Studio shall not be liable for any failure or delay in
performing its obligations where such failure results from events beyond our
reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, fire,
flood, strikes, carrier disruption, supply chain failure, war, terrorism, cyber
incidents, pandemics, governmental action, customs delays, or changes in
applicable law or regulation.
In such circumstances, Varini Studio will notify you as soon
as reasonably possible and will fulfil its obligations as soon as practicable.
If the situation persists for more than 30 days, either party may cancel the
order, and any amounts paid will be refunded within 14 days.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found by a competent court
or authority to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision shall be
deemed severed from the remaining Terms, which shall continue in full force and
effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary
to make it valid and enforceable, where possible.
15. Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain.
If you are a consumer, any dispute shall be subject to the
jurisdiction of the courts applicable under mandatory consumer law in your
country of residence. You also have the right to use the European Commission’s
Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform, which is accessible at:
https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
For disputes not involving consumers, the courts of Madrid,
Spain, shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Before initiating formal proceedings, we encourage you to
contact us at info@varinistudio.com to seek resolution directly. We will
endeavour to respond within 5 business days.
16. Amendments to These Terms
Varini Studio reserves the right to amend these Terms at any
time. The current version, with its effective date, will always be published on
this page. Continued use of the website after changes are published constitutes
acceptance of the revised Terms. For existing orders, the Terms in force at the
time of order confirmation apply.
